• You probably know this but Psalm 119 is an acrostic psalm. In the original text, the first word of every verse starts with the Hebrew letter that is stated in the heading. Eight verses for each of the twenty-two letters. By reading it, you can tell how wonderful and delightful the word of God is to the psalmist. Not only does the content declare the beauty of God’s word, it was written with meticulous attention to words in order to make it acrostic. The writer illustrates that every single letter that composes the word of God can declare its praise, aleph through tau. It’s beautifully complete, creative, and genius.  So many golden verses. It’s the perfect medium and perfect style for the message.  And the attitude and heart conveyed is worth emulating. “How can a young man cleanse his way?  By taking heed according to Your word” (Ps 119:9).
